Awareness of drone technology in the commercial world is increasing in line with the growing popularity of consumer drones. A PwC study into the impact of drones showed that, by 2030, the UK could see a GDP increase of £42billion. Those GDP uplifts are expected to be particularly evident in industries such as public sector (£11.4bn), construction and manufacturing (£8.6bn) and wholesale, retail and food services (£7.7bn). In addition, the UK could benefit from £16billion in net cost savings and 628,000 jobs in the drone economy.
