All three previously worked together at Crane Telecommunications, a business which enjoyed 18 years of rapid and sustained growth before being acquired in 2007. David George, chairman of Pragma said “Crane grew along with its resellers by focusing on and supporting their needs and Pragma will do this too”.
Pragma see significant opportunity in the channel following a period of consolidation both at vendor and distributor level. “This has created a void with little or no real support being offered to the majority of resellers” commented Tim Brooks, managing director of Pragma. “We strongly believe that resellers still value high quality and personal sales, technical support and training, and Pragma is committed to providing this to our partners.”
Pragma will supply resellers with a world class range of IP-PBX, unified communications applications and services, although no details are available yet as to which vendors they will partner with. “Vendor selection is key and Pragma will only partner with manufacturers that offer world class products, and can demonstrate a roadmap that will maintain this position” said Will Morey, marketing director for Pragma.
In a challenging economic climate and with a great deal of disruptive technology being launched into the market, now more than ever resellers will look to partner with suppliers who offer both feature and margin rich products, backed up by high quality and personal support. This, together with a commitment to building lasting relationships through regular social events, will ensure Pragma quickly becomes a force to be reckoned with.
Tony Parish, CEO Aura Alliance and G3 is delighted to see the team back in the UK distribution scene and commented, "I have worked with David, Tim and Will over many years and know this venture will be a huge success. Their knowledge of the UK reseller channel and open and honest approach to business is what resellers really need from a distributor."
Morey commented “We look forward to announcing our first major vendor partnership in the coming days, and building a strong distribution business to support resellers across the UK.”
