Daisy Partner Academy Captures Channel Imagination

Distributors
As it reaches a pivotal moment in its journey among the converging worlds of telecoms and IT, Daisy Distribution puts partner engagement at the top of its list with the launch of its Partner Academy.

Historically a mobile airtime distributor, the newly-launched Partner Academy is designed to support the distributor’s partner community as its portfolio of products continues to grow.

Dave McGinn, Daisy Distribution Managing Director, explains, “Airtime was our bread and butter, it’s our heritage and many of our partners’ too, so to expect them to just grasp connectivity, WiFi, cloud etc. overnight would be foolish of us. That is how the Partner Academy came about.”

Launched in April this year, six sessions have already been completed with a total of 64 partner delegates participating and a further 94 booked into the forthcoming sessions. The distributor has already seen 45 of those traditional mobile partners place orders for lines and calls, broadband, Ethernet, hosted voice, mobile and WiFi – totalling 658 products.

“As part of the wider Daisy Group, we are in a very distinct position. We have the skills and experience of taking these products and services to market through our other divisions, so we know what works and can advise our partners with that unique insight.

“Quite simply it’s about us connecting with our partners, in such an effective way that allows them to connect with their customers and play an important part in their digital journeys. It’s fantastic to see in such a short space of time, how these sessions have helped our historically-mobile-centric partners open up their businesses to new opportunities.”

Each session focuses on a different subject matter, allowing those attending to really get to grips with the products, the offerings and how they can be successfully taken to market.

Subjects covered so far have included ‘HV.Select’ – Daisy’s hosted voice solution, ‘Break-fix Maintenance’, ‘Daisy WiFi’ and ‘Intelligent Mobile’. ‘Connectivity for Productivity’ and the ‘Digital Workplace’ themes are due to be scheduled for later this year.
