The Convergence Summit South is shaping up to be one of the biggest shows to date. The Summit will be held on the 3rd and 4th of October and will be hosted in its usual spot at Sandown Park. Week by week we will be giving regular updates to our readers and exhibitors to let you know important information regarding this year’s event. Updates will include new signings and exhibitors, program highlights/ changes and everything you need to know to get your business to the Convergence Summit South and get the most out of your time whilst there.
We are delighted to announce the attendance of O-bit Telecom, PRD Quick start billings, Neowave and Capstan at this year’s event. O-bit, PRD and Neowave are regulars at the event and we look forward to welcoming them back and wish them another successful event. Capstan are new boys on the block this year and we look forward to seeing their product range displayed on their stand.
We have something a little different this year on the conference front. Industry speed dating! Practical innovation and ideas that help resellers have always been high on the agenda at Comms Business Magazine and at the Convergence Summit South delegates will have a unique opportunity to take part in our Technology & Applications Speed Dating Program that forms part of our Knowledge Centre.
In addition to our respected and highly informative Educational Speaker Seminar Series visitors to the Convergence Summit can take 20 minute ‘Sound Bites’ in smaller groups directly with vendors.
Here’s how it works.
We have selected the seven key areas that our readers have told us they want more information on and then invited major channel players that specialise in those subjects to provide their take on the key aspects that the channel needs to be aware of and skilled in to become successful themselves.

Each of the two days at the Convergence Summit will feature two Speed Dating sessions where seven tables for ten delegates each are set up. On a first come first served basis delegates will be able to sit at the table of their choice for 20 minutes to hear the presenters and question them on their specialist subject. After 20 minutes we will ring a bell and all the delegates get up and move to their next choice table to hear another topic.
Editor Ian Hunter commented, “When we first started the Convergence Summit a key objective we wanted to achieve was to have as many vendors and distributors under one roof as possible so that busy delegates could gain the maximum possible benefit from seeing so many potential suppliers in a short space of time.
Whist this continues to be a key objective, today the market, the technology available and the wide array of applications that resellers can supply their customers is growing at an ever-increasing pace. We therefore wanted to be able to provide resellers with a greater opportunity to gain ‘Bite Sized’ information in a short space of time and then decide if the products and application were for them. If it is then the delegate can go to the main hall and spend more time face-to-face with that vendor.
