Comstor offers Cisco security in consumption-based model

Distributors
Comstor has announced the first true, end-to-end, consumption-based licence solution for Cisco security customers. Comstor offers Cisco Managed Service Licence Agreement (MSLA) which enables service providers to respond to customer demands for true OPEX based consumption of Cisco security technology. Paying only for use and with no up-front commitment, customers benefit from optimising budgets and resource allocation, reduced risk and operational overheads.

Daniel Hurel, VP Comstor Security Sales Europe, heads up the dedicated Comstor Security Initiative in EMEA said: “for the first time our partners can sell leading Cisco security solutions on a next-generation OPEX basis where customers only pay for what they consume. Our complete integration with Cisco for monthly reporting, invoicing and payment is a market first. It is highly efficient and fair because once a partner is signed, there is no price change, no PO needed and, this is key, no manual intervention anywhere like you get with other models. Customers are free to move up and down product tiers and across Cisco infrastructure, cloud and orchestration services too. Partners benefit greatly from a regular recurring revenue stream over the committed term and the ability to adapt quickly to changing customer demands.”

Cisco MSLA is currently available for Adaptive Security Appliance virtual firewall (ASAv), Advanced Malware Protection for Endpoints (AMP4E), NGFW virtual, Stealthwatch cloud, Email Security Appliance virtual (ESAv) and Umbrella. WSA virtual offers are due in the coming months. Additionally, service providers have access to unlimited use of an NFR-Lab where they can develop, test and demo security, and offer customers free trials. MSLA is available throughout EMEA and managed by the dedicated country Comstor Security Initiative teams.
