Community Fibre hits 300k connections

Full fibre network provider reaches 300,000 customer connections.

Community Fibre has announced that it has connected more than 300,000 premises across London.

The company’s fibre-to-the-premises (FTTP) network covers 1.3 million properties in London and this milestone has been reached following an 85 per cent increase in its customer base in the past 12 months d.

Community Fibre is backed by a finance facility of £985 million, with the company announcing it has been Ebitda positive throughout Q2.

Graeme Oxby, chief executive officer, Community Fibre (pictured), said, “Having successfully grown to become the largest 100 per cent only full fibre network in London by far, we’re pleased to announce that more than 300,000 customers have chosen to join Community Fibre for lower prices, faster speeds and a better service.

“The fact that so many customers have voted with their feet and moved from the large national providers to Community Fibre demonstrates the incredible success we are having. We believe our unwavering focus on consistently delivering the best products, at the lowest prices with the best service versus all comers is the rationale behind our success.”

Community Fibre’s product portfolio ranges from 35 Mbps to 10 Gbps, with symmetrical download and upload speeds. The company has a partner programme designed for CPs with a London customer base looking to drive new business and add value for existing customers.

Last year, Oxby explained the company’s wholesale approach in a conversation with Zen Internet's Richard Tang.

Oxby said Community Fibre had not “switched” to wholesale, with the company always intending on working with wholesalers once its network had reached scale and the wholesale market for full fibre had matured.
