Abzorb has announced the latest success of its Rising Stars Apprenticeship Programme.
The programme is designed to offer candidates real-world experience while simultaneously studying for professional qualifications. One of the programme's recent stars to graduate is Robyn Cooper, who joined Abzorb aged 18 and just two years later has now successfully qualified with an APM Project Management Qualification, Level 6-7.
Cooper completed her A Levels at Greenhead College in Huddersfield at 18, intending to enter an apprenticeship programme instead of attending university. She wanted to gain practical experience, learn on the job and earn a salary while studying for a professional qualification at the same time.
Matt Dykes, COO, Abzorb, said, "Due to the cost of university tuition fees, the apprenticeship route is now a popular and attractive option. We are delighted to have Robyn working with us, she is a focused, ambitious and committed member of the team."
Cooper joined Abzorb's transition team, where she supported large tender projects working on council and government contracts. She took on day-to-day management tasks and attended client meetings, focusing on her chosen field of project management. This role allowed her to continuously develop her skills and gain diverse experiences while attending college every two weeks to study for her qualification.
Cooper, project manager, said, "I have thoroughly enjoyed my apprenticeship at Abzorb. It offered me the real-world experience I wanted, along with responsibilities and autonomy, making me feel like part of the team from day one. I am thrilled to have qualified and intend to continue developing my skills in project management. I am continuing to study and working towards my Prince 2 and Agile and plan to grow my qualifications as much as I can."
