Howell commented on the charity event, "We’ve pushed a boat, a tractor, and now we are reaching for the skies to push a Helicopter!
4 years ago we raised over £11,000, then 2 years ago the total money raised was £21,000. The money was shared between Stroke & Cancer Research.
"This time half of us will be pushing a 1.5 ton, full size sculpture of a Jet-Ranger Helicopter, once owned by Barrett Homes but is now on loan to us from The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare, over a 24 mile course."
The rest of the team will be directing traffic, driving support vehicles or running back and forth with collection buckets trying to prise money from unsuspecting motorists or passers-by.
Howell continued, "We are desperate to raise the £18,000 that would take our overall total past the £50,000 mark for our past 3 challenges. With your help we are sure we can do this."
This year the team will be raising money once again for the Strokes Foundation and the local (charity funded) Kent Air Ambulance.
Starting in Tenterden in Kent on the 27th August - the participants will be pushing the 1.5 tonnes of helicopter across 24 country miles passing through 10 Villages.
