Yahoo! has named Mitch Lazar as European head of its Connected Life division, which oversees mobile as well as broadband and “the digital home”.Based in London, Lazar will be responsible for relationships with European mobile and broadband operators including Nokia. A 12-year veteran of Turner Broadcast System, Lazar’s last role there involved the global wireless strategy for CNN, Cartoon Network and TCM. He now says “I want to grow Yahoo!’s footprint as the leading destination for mobile and broadband users across Europe.”
