Q What was your first paid employment?
BMW technician apprentice.

Q What did you spend your first pay-packet on?

A pair of Levi 501s and a couple of rounds at my local pub.

Q How long have you worked for MoCo?
About three months.

Q What is the best aspect of your job?
The point where my dealers start connecting.

Q And what is the worst?
London traffic, and parking tickets.

Q What will you do next?
Manage a region of the country.

Q And what’s your ultimate ambition?
Sell and manage non-voice content on the beach.

Q Suggest a sales incentive that would work for you. One where sales people earn points for prizes, based on personal performance – the more effort/results the better the prize. Why?
Because it rewards the strongest whilst encouraging the individual to aim higher.

Q And what’s the best sales incentive you’ve won so far?
Seven nights in Hong Kong.

Q Your home is on fire and you can rescue only one thing. What is it?
My 512MB memory stick – it’s got everything important to me on it.

Bob Marley, ‘Natty Dread’

Yes.

Q What’s the last music you bought?
‘Sensations’ by Kent on iTunes.

Q If you could change anything about the mobile industry and your role in it, what would it be and why?
A more efficient split of commission payment, based on the full length of contract selling services which moves the industry forward – data, multi-media, content, MMS, video for consumer and business. And I would like to lobby Parliament to legislate on removing the networks’ – this would bring about high quality dealers and stabilise the industry.

Q Cats or dogs?
Dogs.

Q Nokia or Motorola?
Nokia.

Q If you were a mobile phone, which would you be and why?
RIM 8700, the gadget for today’s lifestyle.

Q You’re designing a mobile handset for the future. What functions would it have and why?
‘Bill payer’ – program my mobile phone instructions to make payments anywhere. ‘Mobile Lego’ – gadget bolt-on to turn my mobile phone into an accessory like, a film projector, full digital TV, and music-mixing desk. ‘Send me flowers’ – if you forgot to buy your partner flowers you can send a text which emits the scent of your chosen flower.

Q What ringtone do you currently use?
‘You shook me all night’, AC/DC – it rocks!

Q If you were a ringtone, what would you be and why?
‘Tripping’ by Robbie Williams, because it typifies life.

Q Who inspires you and why?
Marcus Garvey – he proved that anything is possible.

Q What do you think about being awarded DM of the month?
I’m flattered; it’s nice to see acknowledgement for your efforts
