A recent trial by Vodafone to sell end-of-line and surplus stock on eBay was an “unprecedented success”. Vodafone says it has been getting only 30% of cost price by shifting older handsets through the retail channel or to spares repair dealers; using eBay it’s been getting double that – with instant payment via PayPal. Shape of things to come?
