Here at Mobile Business towers we don't normally get involved in politics, it's all a bit boring, everyone's as bad as each other, and there's not enough gadgets, but we feel so strongly about this that we had to add our voice.
There is a government proposal to introduce road pricing within five years, and do away with road tax and maybe fuel duty. The theory behind road pricing is a simple one, you pay more when you use your car more and when you drive through congested areas.
Road users will supposedly have to fork out for a tracking device at about £200, and then pay per mile depending on where and when they go. A recent BBC study showed the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and the most expensive was £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month.
The government has said the highest possible charges for some areas such as the South East and London could be as much as £1.30 per mile.
On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times, bringing an end to Webmonkey #5's stalking of his ex-girlfriend.
