Vodafone UK has been talking about the success of the Sky Mobile TV it launched in November to launch. It has more than 100,000 subscribers and is getting over 70,000 streams per day, said Roger Matthews, head of sports and entertainment for Vodafone, speaking to delegates at MEM2006 in London.
He attributed the success of the service to branding – “Sky helped consumers understand mobile TV”, he said, pointing out that customers understood that the Sky brand implied an additional cost.
