Orange has confirmed a dramatic tariff revamp that offers unlimited voice calls to mobiles and landlines, texts or data.
The deal applies to new or upgrading customers on an 18 month tariff and spending over £35 per month.
Those who choose the Dolphin package will get unlimited texts; Racoons get unlimited calls to landlines; the Canary package will have unlimited evening and weekend calls; Panthers receive unlimited off-peak texts.
This isn’t of course an admission that the animal packages weren’t working. Said Jean-Pascal van Overbeke, Vice President Marketing Orange UK: “Our animal packages make it easier for our customers to choose the right package for them ... During the four months since their birth, we have continued to learn from our customers about how each group uses their mobiles. It is now time to use this insight to make the packages more relevant and make sure that we are providing Orange customers with great value.”
