This last week has seen Orange launch a major initiative to achieve customer loyalty, one of their key priorities for 2007, it's called Best Plan, but only if you ask about it.
Best Plan is Orange's new tariff review service that means pay monthly customers will never have to worry about being on the wrong package. Based on regular reviews of their real usage Orange can tell customers what package is the best for them - either saving them money if their usage is up or down – or suggesting other options that could offer a lot more value for a little extra spend.
That's all well and good, but the review isn't offered voluntarily, "Customers will immediately be able to take advantage of the Best Plan service if they ask about it when they call us." says Orange.
We like the "don't ask, don't get" tactic from Orange.
To give them their dues, Orange will be inviting customers to make use of the service, including details with this month's bill as well as sending everyone a text message next month. However, not everyone's going to take advantage, probably something that Orange have taken into account.
