Nokia E60

The E60 is the most phone-like of the eagerly anticipated E series, Nokia’s latest push for the business market. It’s slightly longer and squarer than the tired-looking 6230/6230i; it is thinner, though, and the
angular form and neat use of matt and chrome look finishing gives it a very stylish boardroom presence.

The screen has a fab 16m-colours display with fantastic resolution (352x408) and can rotate to landscape mode. There is no camera to really test it, but the argument for a camera on a business phone is not that strong. The E60 is loaded with connectivity options (WiFi, 3G, HCDMA, GPRS, EDGE, Bluetooth, USB 2.0); couple this with 70MB expandable memory, a full web browser, support for Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents – and you have a great business handset in a slim and stylish form.

It runs Symbian OS v 9.1, offer push-to-talk, and does push email via a third-party download akin to Visto or Blackberry Connect. It’s built like a brick outhouse, albeit a pretty stylish one. Oh, and it plays music too.

A surefire hit for Nokia that will sell itself on any business tariff.
