Motorola have evolved the RAZR brand as it unveiled RAZR2. The next-generation device packs features such as CrystalTalk technology, up to 2GB of on-board memory, Web browsing, real-time point-to-point video and ultra-fast menu navigation, all packed into a slimmer, stronger, sleeker design.
“With the modern style and powerful performance of RAZR2, Motorola is once again redefining the cell phone,” said Ed Zander, Motorola’s chairman and chief executive officer. “This device takes the world’s best-selling feature-phone to the next level. The touch-sensitive music controls, located on the large color external display, maintains a sleek look while consumers manage and play songs purchased from any Windows-based music store. Users can also read and reply to texts via RAZR2 V8’s external display, which is the largest in its class. After flipping open the phone to start the music player, users can sit back, listen and enjoy without ever flipping open the phone again.
With quad band technology, travel the world a little lighter. Users can take advantage of the 2.0 megapixel camera, video capture and playback, and up to 2GB of internal memory to capture every unforgettable moment in high resolution.
Consumers can share their video instantaneously with the “See What I See” capability, where users can stream live video footage to another wireless customer while a call is in progress. And owners can watch the video on the RAZR2 V9’s large internal screen with twice the resolution of the original RAZR. Consumers can also get the best shot with a 2.0 megapixel camera with 8x digital zoom.
With its CrystalTalkTM technology – automatically accounting for background noise and adjusting the audio to match the ambient volume – consumers will be heard in a crowd. HSDPA 3.6 Mbps technology helps connect users to the Internet at broadband-like speeds, like DSL in your pocket. RAZR2 V9’s integrated digital music player supports a wide variety of audio formats.

- Just browsing -- The Web-browsing experience, including a full HTML browser, in the new RAZR takes advantage of its stellar internal display and high-speed wireless data connections for faster, bigger and richer surfing. Built-in email functionality gives easy, PC-like access to both personal and corporate email accounts.
- Better mobile search -- Debuting on the RAZR family of devices, Motorola has incorporated Google’s powerful new mobile search experience, which helps users quickly and easily get the information they need, bringing them highly relevant results with an absolute minimum of clicks and enabling them to add frequently accessed content to their Google homepage.
- Picture this...and this -- The multi-shot feature on the handset’s 2.0 megapixel camera automatically snaps up to eight new pictures so users can choose the best image from a complete series of pictures.
- Watch this, real-time -- A new real-time point-to-point video feature allows another wireless customer to “See What I See” while a voice call is in progress. Consumers can also store up to 2 hours of video footage on the device.
