Following the recent departure of David Cooper, chief operations and technical officer, Marc Allera has now been made responsible for customer retentions and supply chain operations of 3, in addition to his role presiding of direct and third-party sales.
A 3 spokesman said: ‘Acquisition and retention are now under one directorate at 3, as we look to maximise the efficiency of our spend on customer growth and better manage the balance between retaining and attracting new customers. Marc has managed major change in 3’s distribution business over the last 18-months and is well-placed to understand the challenges in both retention and the supply chain.’
As part of his expanded remit Allera will be responsible for around 700 additional staff based in both Mumbai and Glasgow, along with logistics staff at 3’s partner Unipart.
Marc Allera has been at 3 for over six-years and was promoted to sales director in 2003. Allera joined 3 from Sega where he was general manager.
