And Pyramid Research has revised upwards its overall projections for mobile subscriber growth for the 2006-2010 period. Overall, it now estimates 2.6bn mobile subscriptions around the world at year-end 2006, up from 2.3bn in 2005.
Between 2006 and 2010, Pyramid expects total mobile subscribers to increase at a compound annual growth rate of 8.7% to top 3.5bn subscribers by the end of 2010.
