RIM is to launch the BlackBerry service in China with the country’s largest operator, China Mobile. It faces competition; the similarly named RedBerry service from state-owned operator China Unicom offers email for less than a dollar per month. RIM will find it hard to match that price but says it will be selling a much more sophisticated system.
